The Bridal Experience

Having secured your wedding date with Emily an initial consultation will take place where we create an image of your wedding day style. You may have a solid ideas of your wedding theme or you may be looking for direction and guidance. In terms of wedding makeup looks, the world is your oyster, we will discuss a different range of styles natural, glowing, boho hippee chic, bold, Hollywood glam to really ensure we find the right makeup inspiration for you. At the end of this consultation we will have discussed the perfect look for your bridal makeup so that you feel confident and beautiful.

Bridal Trial

This is where the vision of your bridal look starts to come to life.

Bridal trials usually take place around 3-4 months before your wedding day (it can be earlier if you wish). A trial is so important not only to achieve the correct look and to ensure that the products we select suit your skin perfectly, but meet Emily in person as she will be one person at you will be spending your wedding morning with. Trials usually take place at Emily’s home in Broadway, she has the use of a large open space which is well lit and has lots of natural light. Alternatively the trials can take place at your home or another location depending on your preference. Please allow around two hours for the trial.

During the trial will be go through your current makeup and skincare routine. We may discuss ways in which you could improve your current routine (should this be something you wish to discuss). Armed with the ideas and the vision from the initial consultation we will choose colours to match your skin tone, wedding theme and skin type.

Emily uses predominantly Charlotte Tilbury products, but she does use a number of products from other premium brand such as Bobbi Brown, By Terry, MAC and Estee Lauder which are all well known for their staying power which is what is needed on your wedding day.

Feeling good about yourself is the key to enjoying your wedding day and knowing you are looking at your absolute best is key. Emily loves and embraces the honour of being part of a brides wedding day and makes the bridal makeup journey fun and a calm experience from start to finish.

Emily will note products used during the trial in order to re create your bridal look. You will be emailed a copy of the product list and photos taken so that you can share these with your friends and family should you with to have their feedback on your look. During your trial we will confirm timings and makeup requirements for other members of your bridal party.

On your wedding day

Emily will arrive in plenty of time at your chosen location to set up the makeup station. Emily will be on there until you leave for your ceremony to make sure everything runs smoothly and most importantly calmly. Emily will ensure that every detail relating to your makeup is taken care of as this is not something you should need to worry about on your big day. Should you need a make up refresh or even help getting into your dress, Emily will be discreetly there should you need any help.

Information

Your make-up will take around 1 hour 15 minutes and Emily allows 45 minutes for each member of the bridal party.

Emily works on the basis that she will allow for adequate time (usually around an hour) after she have applied your make-up and your hair is also done, so that you can get into your dress, take a moment before you have your first photographs of the day taken.

Please note that is a minimum booking requirement of the Bride plus 3 bridal party members, for Friday, Saturday and Sunday weddings. Additional members of the bridal party can be added of course.
